My mom has always loved the thrill of a deal. She was quite thrifty in my younger years. I spent many a day at with my mom and Nick, and the Williamson children, and their mom and assorted other younger siblings at Pick-N-Save and Fritzi's (which, if my memory serves me correctly was like a double wide trailer full of discounted girls dresses, which provided excellent hiding places and loads of bins to dig through...and also scary clerks.) But I digress, suffice it to say, my mom loves a deal. However, in all my long-legged life, she never skimped on makeup (hello Este Lauder!) She always bought the good stuff, especially when it came to lipstick.
And thank heavens for the good stuff, because had she skimped, this might have wiped right off the walls
and the carpet
and off these irresistible cheeks
and pudgy arms and thighs.
Thanks, Mom.
and RIP to the darling outfit Mom bought her at TJMaxx, which no amount of washing can clean.

Oh my goodness, she sure looks beautiful in that color! Where was mommy while this was occurring? Cleaning up a Charlie mess in another room?
ReplyDeleteI'm guessing the lipstick came from the emptied purse lying at the bottom of the stairs?
