Our fourth of July was nice and uneventful. I feel like I have to record holidays so our kids knew that they happened and we celebrated. We stayed home during the day. If memory serves our kids were in dire need of naps and downtime. We met the fam at Thanksgiving Point for the fireworks. We were very excited to take Charlie. He spent most of the evening running in circles around the blanket, tackling Nick, then collapsing in the grass-in need of medical assistance. Stella crawled away from us as fast as her little arms and legs could go. The picture of my parents with the kids gives a very clear picture of what the whole event was like with them :)
Charlie was scared to death when the fireworks started, but relaxed after awhile. It's always fun to be there with our family (and everyone else in the valley) snacking on kettle corn and hanging out together. The production crew really kicked things up a notch this year. There was a musical accompaniment which kicked off with patriotic goodies like the national anthem and "God Bless the USA," then moved right into some classics like "We are the Champions." That was classy.
Also, Stella's dress is from Jessica, isn't it the cutest?
