a few phases that never went away and beiber fever...and the john wall

So many cute and funny things Charlie does are so fleeting. He does them for a few days and then they are gone. But there are a few things that never, ever get old:
*Tickling-This started a year ago and still takes up a significant portion of his day. He tickles me and Cam, and the family. He tickles the bums of people in front of us at church. He tickles the Buster and our cat. He tickles his stuffed animals and himself. He used to say something like "diddle liddle liddle liddle" which has progressed to "ticka ticka ticka"
*Cleaning-Multiple times a day, Charlie empties the cleaning closet and pulls out the tools of the trade. You will be hard pressed to try and remove the broom, swiffer, vacuum or mop from his kung-fu grip. It's typically the first place he goes when we arrive at my moms, and I have tripped over the swiffer a time or two in the middle of the night.
*Praying-Charlie loves to pray. Ever since his dad taught him how, he has been so good to kneel down, fold his arms and try with all his might to get those eyes closed. Sometimes the reverence lasts the whole prayer, sometimes it doesn't, but he always comes back to give us kisses when we are done praying.
*Torturing Buster (and any other animals he comes in contact with)-He just can't resist that fluffy tail. It requires pulling. I've also seen a swift kick or a smack fall upon the Buster. Unfortunately, now Buster also gets chastised on a regular basis. That includes finger waving and screaming "no no no!" He usually follows it up by saying, "Ohhhhhh" and giving Buster a fake hug or a little pat though, so that makes it all better.
*Talking on the phone. What can I say. He's got good teachers. He likes his privacy, must hold the phone himself and jabbers and laughs like crazy. He just received the gift of one of Cam's old cell phones and laughed giddily forever when we told him it was his. This morning he was chatting and laughing away and I asked him who he was talking to. He held the phone away from his face for a minute, looked at me with such an annoyed face at being interrupted and said, "Nana". Then went somewhere that he could talk to her in private.

And a phase that won't go away anytime soon:
*Wrestling: He and Cam wrestle like crazy on our bed. Once, they wrestled after Charlie's bath without shirts on and now when Cam walks in the door he grabs Cam, pulls him into the bedroom and then yells off, off, off in an effort to have some real man bonding time sans shirts. What is it about guys?

He also speaks primarily in negatives now. Favorites are no, nope, un-uh, not, and stop. He also likes to ignore anyone who is talking to him by turning his head away and watching out of the corner of his eye.

Charlie is not exempt from the Bieber Fever and has been wandering around the house the past few days singing "baby, baby, baby, oh" and also dancing

He also does the John Wall like nobody's business. If you are as uncool as me and have no idea who John Wall is or what the dance looks like. It can be located on you tube. It is one saweet music video. Good thing Charlie has aunts and uncles who keep him cool. If you say do the John Wall, his little fist immediately comes up and he starts swaying. Boy's got rhythm.
