It's been a long time since I've posted anything. I've accumulated plenty of adorable pictures of the little man and my growing belly in the meantime. It seems appropriate to start the catching up with the cause of all the delay...the event that has been consuming everyone at the Roberts household for the past few weeks (please take into account ample recovery time).
The reception was at my parents, but since we were the groom's side, we didn't do any of the decorating or planning. We did, however, scrub and clean and organize my parents house. And let's just note for posterity here the impressiveness of Hayley, who managed to recline during every chore she was assigned. That is not an exaggeration. Also, let's give a shout out to our buddies Miguel and Luis who rode into down just in the nick of time to get the yard looking lovely. Good thing the snow stopped falling a week before the wedding date so they had a little time to make the magic happen.
Cam's parents came into town the same weekend as the wedding and they and Jess were able to party with us too!
Charlie looked cute as a button and was busy scraping up his knees by rock climbing during the entire reception. He was also a sort of honorary ring bearer during the ring ceremony. He carried the pillow and wouldn't be deterred until he got it all the way to Nick. The rings had been previously removed (we determined that he was fairly unreliable and much more likely to turn back toward the garage and resume his favorite pastime of sweeping). He threw a lot of rocks and ate tons of cold stone and cupcakes.
Jessica was stunning and Nick was glowing. It was so fun to be part of their wedding. We loved being in the temple with them. The ceremony was sweet, the weather was beautiful, the decorations were amazing and the music was so fun.
Most of these pictures were taken on Cam's phone at the end of the reception, so they are a little dark and we all look like we've been partying, but you get what you get.
We all think Nick scored and we are thrilled to have a new sister in the family. She is exactly what we all need!
Correct: I included all these pictures so we can enjoy looking at her dress. Can we believe that she used her mom's dress? With a few tweaks of course. Here's to hoping some of her craftiness and creativity rubs off on me!
Note to self: don't hand your camera to some who is sitting down...particularly when you are trying to look skinny in your pregnant body. Case in point:
Check out these crowds. There were a bazillion weddings the same day!

Yay! I've been waiting oh so patiently to see a pregnant picture of you! And you didn't disappoint! You look so cute! And I don't think I've ever seen you with long hair! Miss you Whit!
