A Few Funnies

1. Charlie loves Lucky Charms. He decided to share them with his dad the other day. He ate a marshmallow, then gave Cam one of the plain ones. Then he ate a marshmallow then gave Cam a plain one.
He's a fast learner
2. Charlie loves this big bamboo stick/staff Cam keeps under the bed (self-defense of course!) He carries it around everywhere banging it on the tile, the walls his mom....
3. Charlie has abandoned all other words spoken previously for his favorite-dog. He used to say "dog" but now he says "ga" but it means dog. Thankfully we are surrounded by dogs that never stop barking. This means that at 23 second intervals throughout the day (and night) Charlie's eyes light up, and he yells "ga".
4. We go for a walk every night. We go on the same route and Charlie knows when we are getting close to an animal and starts yelling "ga,ga" This also goes for the camel, horses, cows, donkey and other creatures we pass.
5. Charlie loves to do his hair, he combs it with any item he can find. The favorite is my makeup brush. He then cleans the floor with my makeup brushes, then sucks on them. Yum.
6. We are discovering the joys of the bathroom. Fun games this week: climbing/falling into the tub when there is no water, learning to flush the toilet, unrolling lots and lots of toilet paper and wiping his cute baby nose on every piece.

In other news:
  We have crossed the threshold this week, he now walks more than he crawls. In fact he is hardly crawling at all (except when he's cruising the floor looking for crumbs or other leftovers to eat).
  His favorite pastime is catapulting all his food from his highchair to the floor and walls.
  He loves to feed Buster and our cat Rufi. He tries to fake them out by giving them a few bites of real food, then putting his fingers together like he has food just to get them close. They aren't falling for it. He also tries to feed them string, grass or anything else nearby.
  Charlie is sleeping like a champ 12-13 hours straight. Doesn't wake up. HEAVEN
  We have loved hanging out with Nastia, one of the girls Nick taught on his mission. She moved here to study English and despite the VERY HUMONGOUS language barrier, my mom and sisters and a great time shopping with her and trying to communicate. She is very amazing and quite an inspiration to me. And my new favorite hobby is translating everything she writes in Russian on facebook with the handy google translator. Like I need another facebook hobby.
   Cam took classes this summer and UVU and did amazing. He will take more in the fall, take the SAT and work on college applications. So fun! Hooray for college!
