After christmas at the ranch

Pictures of the ranch are on my phone, and those of christmas are on my real camera.  My phone is in hand and my camera is not, so I'm posting everything  out of order.
Two days after christmas, we packed up and headed to the ranch. The kids played in the snow, there was an insane amount of delicious food, and we laughed like crazy.
It was freezing, but the kids went out to play anyway-even poor Charlie who fell on the rock hearth moments after we arrived and cut his head open. Heaven help us with gushing head wounds. He was ok after lots of snuggling and firm applied pressure. I was quite a nag after that though, trying to keep him from running and jumping and bonking the head again. Poor Ezra fared a lot worse. Shortly after this, he climbed up on a kids chair, tipped it over and cut just above his eye. It was swollen shut almost immediately, much to his hysterical mama's dismay. So they spent the evening at instacare. As Jackie was telling jeff what had happened he looked at her cutting up potatoes for dinner and pointed out that she'd just cut her finger. Accident city!

An army guy battle with Uncle Sam
So happy to show her new christmas horses to Adelaide
Hayley (and all the adults) had a great time building with the citiblocs
The kids chased Garrett non-stop. He's such a good sport!
Stella and Adelaide fought and teased
And these two collected eggs from the hens and soaked up every moment of their time together. They have such different personalities, but Charlie adores jack and wants to play with him all the time. Darn the distance between here and Dallas.
We came home to lots more army battles with daddy
And lunch with everyone at chuck a Rama, with everyone gathering in the lobby to watch the grin on grandpa's cute face and listen to him reminisce while watching the historic lehi slide show. We sure love him.
